Description
The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall hygiene of two organizational buildings housing over 600 employees. This role is pivotal in ensuring a sanitary, organized, and pleasant working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing housekeeping operations.
Supervision & Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and schedule a team of housekeeping staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Address any staff concerns or conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Ensure that all areas of the buildings, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, are cleaned to high standards.
- Oversee routine and deep cleaning schedules, including floor care, window cleaning, and assets cleaning.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed.
Quality Control:
- Perform regular inspections to ensure adherence to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Implement and enforce cleaning procedures and protocols.
- Address any issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Conduct training for staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety practices.
- Manage and report any maintenance issues or hazards to the Facilities Manager.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain records of cleaning schedules, supply inventory, and staff hours.
- Prepare and submit reports on housekeeping operations, including any incidents or issues.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control related to housekeeping supplies and services.
Communication:
- Liaise with other departments to coordinate special cleaning requests or events.
- Foster a positive working relationship with employees and management.
- Address any concerns or feedback from employees regarding cleanliness.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings as required.
- Physically fit to perform tasks.
- Exposure to cleaning of equipment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in using computer (MS Office, Internet etc.)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Courses in administration / housekeeping.
Education
Bachler in any discipline or Diploma in Administration
Experience
4-6 years’ experience in House Keeping & handling administration function in a reputable organization
