Description

As the General Manager – Global Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in driving TCF’s mission forward by leading our efforts in cultivating and managing strategic partnerships with high-net-worth individuals, institutional grantors, key ambassadors and stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, this person will oversee a team responsible for fundraising, grants monitoring, major donor engagement, and strategic relationship management.

Responsibilities along with approximate weightages:

  • 25% - Engagement of Top 15% Global Major Donors & Ambassadors: Cultivate and nurture relationships with our top-tier donors, ambassadors, and board members. Develop personalized engagement strategies to steward their support and commitment to our mission. Directly manage key relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, and other partners.
  • 40% - Grant Proposals, Fundraising, Monitoring, and Reporting: Develop compelling funding proposals, grant applications to obtain funds for TCF’s key projects and initiatives. Lead the team in identifying, securing, and managing grants from various sources. Ensure compliance of program teams with grant requirements and timely reporting to funders.
  • 15% - Major Donor Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to identify and cultivate prospective major donors. Build and manage a robust pipeline of funding opportunities to support projects and new initiatives.
  • 10% - Executive Support for TCF Core Group: Provide high-level support to the TCF Founders, the EVPs, CEO and Directors, in their interactions with donors, partners, and stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of strong relationships and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Courage to engage in challenging conversations, including discussions with TCF Founders and Board of Directors.
  • Capacity to make decisive judgments and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Strategic thinker and proven experience in team management and cross-departmental collaboration to achieve collective goals.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary and accommodate work across various time zones.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

Experience

At least 10+ years of experience in the development sector.
Preference given to fundraising, partnership development, or related fields, demonstrating a successful history of managing major donors, institutional grants, and major gifts.
