Description

The WSE Evaluator plays a pivotal role in conducting comprehensive, participatory evaluations across TCF’s 2,000+-school network. You will blend rigorous qualitative and quantitative methods—classroom observations, interviews, surveys, assessments and document reviews—to co-generate insights with principals, teachers and learners. Your analyses and recommendations will fuel continuous improvement, safeguard integrity and neutrality in the field, and elevate educational outcomes in under-resourced contexts. This role is equal parts researcher, storyteller, and change-maker—ideal for someone who thrives on intellectual challenge, endless variety, and real impact.

Your primary job responsibility will be to conduct rigorous, insightful evaluations using the WSE framework to diagnose school performance and drive sustainable improvement. This will entail the following

1.Data Collection & Synthesis: Gather rich, on-site evidence—classroom observations, student records, surveys and documentation—and connect the dots to deliver accurate, evidence-based findings. Weave in opportunities for constructive, considerate and thoughtful feedback throughout the process.

2.Pattern Recognition & Analysis: Identify trends, correlations and systemic gaps within qualitative and quantitative datasets to draw well-founded conclusions about teaching, learning and operations.

3.Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate trust-based constructive meetings and discussions with principals, teachers and learners to gather insights, validate findings and foster co-ownership of evaluation outcomes with the Principal and the AEM.

4.Report Preparation: Produce high-quality, concise evaluation reports in Urdu (and English, if needed), clearly outlining key strengths, areas for growth and actionable, data-driven recommendations.

5.Feedback & Presentation: Share findings with school leadership in a clear, solution-oriented manner—ensuring mutual understanding, buy-in and commitment to next steps.

6.Sensitive Conversation Management: Handle divergent viewpoints with professionalism, impartiality and empathy—managing sensitive discussions to maintain trust and respect.

7.Ethical Integrity: Uphold principles of neutrality, fairness, transparency and confidentiality at all times, vigilantly avoiding conflicts of interest.

8. Resilience & Adaptability: Thrive under pressure—juggle multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and remain flexible in dynamic, rapidly changing field environments without compromising objectivity.

9.Prioritisation & Flexibility: Assess and reprioritise tasks in real time to respond effectively to emergent needs on-site, ensuring evaluation momentum is sustained.

10.Research & Capacity-Building: Contribute to process improvement, support the design and refinement of evaluation tools, assist in developing training materials to strengthen TCF’s evaluation practices and programme quality.

  • High satisfaction ratings for professionalism, clarity and impact of evaluations.
  • School teams and AEMs are able to apply evaluation tools independently, reflecting increased confidence and competence.

Required Skills

  • Analytical Fluency: Ability to synthesise multi-source qualitative and quantitative data, identify patterns and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Development and Uplift: The ability to elevate people and school teams through thorough, thoughtful, compassionate and incisive feedback, showing them pathways for improvement grounded in data and evidence.
