Description
The Deputy Funds role is execution-driven, responsible for managing fund operations with precision, timeliness, and integrity. The position requires a hands-on professional who can process payments, manage budgets, monitor data, and create actionable dashboards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented yet innovative, capable of streamlining processes, handling pressure, and ensuring ethical financial practices while driving efficiency and transparency.
Fund Operations & Payments:
- Execute end-to-end fund processes, including disbursements, reconciliations, and vendor/student payments with accuracy and timeliness.
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Prepare financial projections, develop budgets, and follow up on variances to ensure compliance with approved plans.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Track, validate, and maintain financial data; build dashboards and reports in Power BI and Excel for real-time visibility and decision-making.
Process Improvement:
- Identify gaps, streamline workflows, and introduce automation or efficiencies to strengthen fund management systems.
Compliance & Ethics:
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, audit standards, and ethical practices in all financial dealings.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve fund-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
Deadline & Stress Management:
- Deliver results under pressure, manage strict timelines, and maintain attention to detail without compromising quality.
Required Skills
Financial & Technical Expertise
- Strong financial operations knowledge, including payment processing, reconciliations, and fund utilization.
- Expertise in financial projections, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency (dashboards, pivot tables, complex formulas, macros).
- Strong Power BI skills for dashboarding, reporting, and data visualization.
