Description
The Deputy Manager - Operations Excellence will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency across functions. The role involves analyzing performance data, identifying process bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
- Conduct end-to-end process assessments across departments to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and improvement opportunities.
- Use data analytics to track performance indicators, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Design, propose, and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at cost optimization, service quality enhancement, and operational efficiency.
- Support the development and tracking of KPIs and dashboards to measure progress against operational excellence objectives.
- Collaborate with business, finance, and IT teams to streamline workflows and enhance system integration and data accuracy.
- Lead root cause analysis of operational issues and develop sustainable corrective actions.
- Support the rollout of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.) across functions.
- Develop process documentation, SOPs, and training materials to ensure standardization and institutional learning.
- Stay informed on best practices, industry benchmarks, and emerging technologies to guide strategic improvement efforts.
- Coach and support team members and functional leads in adopting data-driven and improvement-oriented practices
Required Skills
- Expertise in data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or similar) for performance tracking, visualization, and insights generation.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and familiarity with digital transformation or automation initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong project management, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable business outcomes.
Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Process Improvement, or Data Analytics will be an advantage.
Experience
5–6 years of proven experience in process improvement, business analysis, or operations excellence—preferably within large-scale or multi-site organizations.
