Job Summary:
The Sr. Account Officer is responsible for accurately recording all types of donations, maintaining donor financial records, ensuring timely reconciliation of bank accounts and donation platforms, and supporting transparent financial reporting. The role ensures that all donation transactions are properly documented, verified, and aligned with organizational financial policies.
Key Responsibilities:

Record all incoming donations (cash, cheque, bank transfer, online platforms, in-kind donations) in the accounting system.

Verify donor information, donation purpose, and supporting documents.

Ensure timely posting of daily/weekly donation entries.

Reconcile donations recorded with bank statements, online platforms, and physical receipts.

Monitor discrepancies between system records and external statements; escalate issues as needed.

Coordinate with fundraising, field teams, and banks to resolve mismatches.

Validate the completeness and accuracy of posted donation entries.

Assist in audit requirements by providing donation and reconciliation documents.

Maintain proper filing and documentation of all receipts, vouchers, and reconciliation sheets.

Support improvements in donation recording processes and control mechanisms.

Prepare chapter-wise donation reports within designated timelines.

Assist in corporate compliance-related work.

B.Com or BBA (in progress also acceptable
