Description
The Citizens Foundation is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Video Editor to support the production of high-quality instructional and training videos for the Schools Learning and Development (SLD) department. The role involves editing footage, enhancing visuals, integrating graphics, and ensuring cohesive storytelling across all video assets. The Video Editor will work closely with instructional script writers and the production team to transform raw content into polished, engaging training videos. Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools is a strong advantage.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of motion graphics and basic animation using After Effects or similar tools.
- Ability to integrate graphics, text-on-screen elements, transitions, and audio to create cohesive videos.
- Understanding of video production workflows including pre-production coordination, on-site shooting requirements, and post-production pipelines.
- Familiarity with AI-based video editing or generation tools (e.g., Runway, Descript, Adobe AI tools) is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, color correction, sound design, and pacing.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good organizational skills for managing media assets, file structures, and project timelines.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Media Sciences, Film/TV Production, Post-Production, Communication & Design, or a related field.
Experience
1–2 years of specialized experience in video editing and post-production.
Prior experience editing educational, training, or instructional content is highly preferred.
