Description
Main responsibilities include:
· Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, and Provincial Taxes.
· Oversee accurate deduction and deposit of withholding taxes on payments to vendors, contractors and payroll
· Manage issuance of withholding certificates to vendors.
· Manage exemption certificate of vendors for monitoring purposes.
· Monitor and ensure compliance with tax exemptions applicable to NPOs
· Advise management on tax implications of grants, donations, projects, contracts etc.
· Liaison with tax advisor for timely receiving of exemptions.
· Keep abreast of changes/ updates in tax laws, SROs, and circulars and advise management accordingly.
· Handle tax audits, assessments, and notices from FBR and provincial tax authorities.
· Prepare replies, documentation, and attend hearings as required.
· Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audits.
· Support statutory audits by providing required tax data and reconciliations.
· Develop and implement internal controls related to taxation
· Prepare and support recording of payment and receipts into the ERP.
· Any other tasks, as assigned by the line manager.
Required Skills

Self-driven and able to work with minimum supervision
Education
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• Preferred: ACCA / CA Part Qualified / ICMA / CPA or equivalent
Experience
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in taxation (corporate sector or reputable tax firm). Preference will be given to experience of tax firm or tax department of big 4 audit firms
• Strong knowledge of Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Sales Tax Act 1990, Provincial Tax Laws.
