The REM has to ensure provision of quality education at schools through effective implementation of educational policy and procedural guidelines set by Head Office. S/he will guide and support Area Managers in planning, development and execution of area improvement plan. S/he is expected to be an active member of Management Committee by identifying educational challenges and solutions.
Understand policies and procedures; and ensure implementation through classroom observation, support for improvement and feedback to staff
Ensure continuation and regular improvement in areas of a) enrollment and retention, and b) gender parity.
Ensure continuous improvement in students’ learning outcomes in both internal and external assessments
Coordinate with HR on school hiring, staff retention, and appraisal; and provide inputs on matters relating to staff promotions, terminations etc.
Coordinate and manage all standards and on-going trainings
Assess and report Training Impact in schools
Ensure new hires go through induction training within 90 days of joining.
Evaluate principals’ performance on specified criteria and develop Improvement Plans for Weak Principals.
Provide qualitative input during principals’ evaluation and ranking based on both quantitative and qualitative data.
Conduct TNA for principals and send report to HO Training Team
Supervise execution of trainings year round in coordination with HO and on regional level
Develop and conduct (partially) trainings for principals with HO Training Team
Ensure compliance of policies and procedures at school and area level.
Conduct community engagement [including with SMCs] and development activities
Network with Education Officials in Districts for relationship management, conflict resolution and resourcing.
Work with Assessments team to design examination papers and tools for all grades.
Manage and supervise MIS of education-related indicators
Conduct detailed capacity building and support visits with each principal, offering them real time guidance, support and feedback on how they can improve their school’s performance and their own professional skills.
Coordinate with respective functional department for provision of supplies and logistics
Ensure meaningful learning experiences are taking place in an engaging school environment – both in physical space and a positive culture.
Support and empower DMs to take responsibility for the quality of education in their Districts.
Support CMs and principals to develop and implement School improvement Plans.
Visit schools at least twice in an academic session, with an increased focus and frequency for struggling schools.
Develop reports and documents as per required prototype and frequency from HO, RO and external/government stakeholders.
Coordinate with and assist Independent Experts in case of SBEP for data collection, documentation and timely reporting.
