Description
The curriculum development specialist will assist in planning and executing curriculum development projects, which involves creating high-quality educational content, editions for materials, and developing lesson plans and syllabus break-ups.
- Develop curriculum and engaging content drawing upon international best practices in EFL instruction
- Research on best practices for conducting assessments for EFL learners
- Prepare presentations and organize information for informed decision making
- Collaborate with other teams within FSPD with regards to language learning and teacher training.
- Identify or develop relevant instructional materials to support language acquisition along with teacher training materials.
- Create resources to support effective classroom practices
- Monitor the outcomes of curriculum implementation, student learning, training and communication and make necessary changes to increase effectiveness.
- Develop syllabus break-ups for the academic year, adhering to given guidelines.
- Be Accountable for adhering to deadlines with regards to project planning.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of English language instruction approaches, particularly for EFL.
- Knowledge of pedagogical trends, teaching methodologies, and assessment techniques.
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to plan and organize activities within strict timelines
- Ability to read and critically analyze data and situations
- Ability to research and collate information
- Expertise with Microsoft Office
Education
Bachelor’s degree (preferably English Language, Literacy or Linguistics)
English Teaching certifications like TEFL, TESOL are preferred.
Experience
Minimum 2-3 years in Teaching, Training or Curriculum Development.
