Description

The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is seeking a Digital Content Design Specialist to craft creative, high-quality scripts for its teacher training courses, including digital video content and scripts for guided courses within the Teacher Development Program. This role is pivotal in creating impactful scripts that drive teacher professional development through both video and guided training materials.

The ideal candidate will work closely with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and trainers to ensure that scripts are aligned with learning objectives, support continuous professional growth and enhance the effectiveness of the teacher training experience.

Content Research

  • Conduct research with internal stakeholders and external resources to understand script development processes and course learning outcomes.
  • Gather and synthesize information to ensure scripting content is accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with pedagogical goals.

Script Development

  • Create clear and impactful scripts for video-based training and teacher development materials.
  • Work with subject matter experts to align scripts with educational objectives and curriculum goals.
  • Simplify complex educational concepts into practical, engaging content for teachers of all experience levels.

Creative Storytelling

  • Use storytelling to create engaging narratives that boost teacher engagement and concept retention.
  • Develop realistic characters and scenarios that reflect classroom challenges and offer actionable solutions.

Collaborative Production

  • Collaborate with video production teams to ensure scripts are turned into engaging, high-quality training videos.
  • Offer creative and technical input during pre-production and filming to preserve the script’s educational goals.

Feedback and Revision

  • Gather feedback from teachers, principals, trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure scripts and videos meet learning objectives and engage the target audience.
  • Refine scripts based on feedback to improve clarity, engagement, and impact.

Work Planning and Management

  • Develop and maintain a work plan to ensure timely delivery of scripts and alignment with the overall training schedule.
  • Organize and manage a repository of scripts, drafts, and finalized materials for easy reference and future use.

Compliance and Standards

  • Ensure all scripts adhere to organizational guidelines, educational standards, and cultural sensitivity, maintaining alignment with TCF’s mission and values.
  • Establish and uphold a consistent tone, style, and format.

Continuous Learning and Innovation

  • Stay updated on AI advancements in education and explore how they can be applied to script development.
  • Track trends in teacher training, video learning, and instructional design to incorporate best practices into scripts.

 

Required Skills

  • Fluent in English and Urdu, with excellent writing and editing abilities for clear and creative scripts.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for working with teams and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in designing culturally responsive content for diverse teacher audiences.
  • Proficient in instructional design models and adult learning principles to create effective scripts.
  • Interest in using AI and educational technologies to enhance video content and create better learning experiences.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to adapt scripts based on feedback and evolving needs.
  • Highly organized, with strong task and deadline management.
  • MS Office skills for documentation and reporting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum design, instructional design, educational technology, social sciences, or a related field.

Experience

1-2 years of classroom teaching experience or of developing educational videos or trainings in teacher professional development settings.
