Description
CDU’s mission is to strengthen TCF’s footprint into the community by building strategic alliances to promote poverty alleviation, preventive health, and environmental and social development, prioritizing for communities where TCF has presence.
The HOD would be responsible for the overall performance of the program focusing on water and health: from establishment of program KPIs and annual goals, to the periodic evaluation of performance.
The HOD will work with his/her Program Managers (direct reportees) to design Program parameters including objectives and outcomes, budgets, and performance measurement metrics, and will seek to launch new projects under these Program. Periodic communication/meetings will be held with the strategic partner and with relevant implementing departments within TCF to ensure alignment of activities and goals.
HOD will monitor the timely implementation of project activities as the basis of assessing Program Managers’ work. Program Managers will have the support of Program Teams who are responsible for field level coordination, trouble-shooting, as well as monitoring and evaluation of project activities against planned outputs.
HOD will present weekly project performance reports to the Executive Advisor, and will present a monthly update to the CDU Panel in terms of lives impacted through the on-ground projects.
HOD will also work on any special projects which may be assigned.
Required Skills
- Understanding of how teams work, how programs are designed, and pilot projects are launched, evaluated and then scaled
- Added knowledge of water, sanitation, health and hygiene programs/interventions would be an added advantage
- Is Process oriented and has good organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to develop good working relationships
- Complete computer literacy (MS Office & internet etc.) and clear database concept. Should be extremely well versed in handling Ms. Excel and PowerPoint.
- Prior work experience of dashboards would be an added advantage
- Strong budgeting and financial reporting skills
- Analytical and with clear logical thought and decision making abilities
- Is a adaptable, self motivated, independent worker
Education
8+ years of program management experience including leading/working with teams at an NGO or corporation.
Experience
Masters in business administration, social sciences or project management.
