Description
The Citizens Foundation is seeking a highly creative and skilled Animator & Video Editor to specialize in developing compelling visual content for the Teacher Pathways Design (TPD) department. The primary focus is to animate 2D visuals, characters, and digital scenes for instructional and training videos. The role also requires proficiency in video editing and motion graphics, supports basic on-ground shoots, and explores AI-assisted video production tools to ensure the delivery of high-quality, engaging learning content.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 2D animation and video editing software (Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent)
- Ability to animate characters, scenes, graphics, and motion elements for instructional videos
- Strong understanding of video editing workflows, pacing, transitions, and audio syncing
- Knowledge of video production workflows including pre-production, shoot logistics, and post-production.
- Familiarity with AI-based video generation tools is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of camera setups, lighting, and on-ground shoot requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Strong organizational skills for managing production assets and timelines.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Media Sciences, Communication and Design, or a related field.
Experience
1-2 years of specialized experience in 2D Animation, motion graphics and Video Editing
Prior experience in producing animated educational content is highly preferred.
