Description
The Citizens Foundation is seeking a passionate and self-driven Instructional Design Lead to lead the design and implementation of its Teacher Professional Development Program. This role focuses on creating impactful and engaging learning experiences that address the unique needs of teachers as learners. These experiences will be delivered through in-person, online, and hybrid formats.
The ideal candidate will leverage instructional design principles, learning theories, and pedagogical frameworks to develop comprehensive training materials, courses, and programs. In this capacity, they will play a pivotal role in improving teaching effectiveness, fostering professional growth, and driving transformative outcomes in education.
Needs Analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess learning needs and objectives.
- Identify knowledge, skill, or performance gaps to design tailored learning solutions.
Design and Development
- Supervise / create course outlines, learning objectives, and instructional strategies.
- Supervise the development of engaging content, including e-learning courses, presentations, videos, and assessments.
- Ensure the alignment of training materials with best practices in adult learning and instructional design models.
Content and Curation
- Supervise / write clear and structured instructional materials.
- Support in the curation relevant external resources to supplement training content.
- Supervise / design courses for in-person, online, and hybrid delivery formats to support teacher learning at various stages of their learning journey.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Collaborate with designers and developers to create interactive, visually appealing content.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Engage with trainers and facilitators to refine content delivery strategies.
- Coordinate with external vendors and technology partners.
- Support on-ground training of teachers and principals.
Project Management
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for instructional design projects.
Evaluation and Feedback
- Support in the development of assessment tools to measure learning outcomes.
- Support the collection and analysis of feedback to improve content and delivery.
Additional Responsibilities

- Strong command of English and Urdu, with excellent writing and editing skills.
- Adaptability to evolving educational needs and trends in instructional design.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, in the areas of education, curriculum, humanities, psychology and/or social sciences.
Experience
4–5 years of experience, which includes classroom teaching experience and of instructional design and e-learning development. A strong background in project management and delivering successful learning solutions is preferred.
