Description

The individual should serve as the liaison between the education design team (content developers) and the graphic design team. In addition to mentoring and managing creative team members the individual should own the digital and non digital output across all mediums: content layout, book development, illustrations, audio and video animation and presentations. Individual should be able to lead the development or curation of content which can be accessed via handheld devices or LED screens by education teams, school faculty and students.

  • Lead and mentor the internal design teams working on a varied range of projects
  • Where needed, adopt a hands on approach to creating content for various projects. Create graphics and animations using a variety of tools, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
  • Collaborate with education design teams to deliver relevant and contextual designs
  • Presenting and communicating concepts and design strategies to senior stakeholders
  • Improve and develop consistency throughout existing deign output, guidelines or experiences to create a cohesive student / faculty experience
  • Develop SOPs on regular design work and practices
  • Manage timelines and implement robust work processes
  • Ability to collaborate at a high level across internal and external teams to ideate, prototype and deploy new experiences
  • Brief external agencies on design requirements and manage feedback processes
  • Come up with innovative and interesting ways to present content in a manner that students/faculty find interesting and engaging;
  • Use visual tools to organize information such that users are able to easily navigate the resources and retain core concepts and takeaways;
  • Ensure that the layout and design choices in the books are consistent with TCF’s brand and values;
  • Maintain a strong connect with the intended users – teachers and students – to understand what kind of content they find engaging and interesting. This would entail meetings with teachers and students and testing samples with them
  • Collaborate and communicate with other developers, instructional designers, graphic artists, and print vendors;
  • Collaborate with multiple departments on a range of projects related to the development of curriculum and teacher training, student learning outcomes, testing and similar activities.

Required Skills

·         Demonstrated ability using authoring, multimedia, and graphics tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.); candidate will be required to share work samples

·         An understanding of the basic fundamentals of design for print (preferred)

·         Knowledge of user interface graphic design, publication graphic design, motion graphic design and art and illustration design is preferable

·         Strategic thinker

·         Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, projects and task planning

·         Drive for continuous development and often jump-start projects without clear direction, as well as an experience to multi-task and move fast

·         Passion to stay current on industry trends and related technology

·         Strong communication skills in Urdu and English.

Education

Bachelors’ Degree in related field

Experience

Preferably 3 – 4 years of relevant experience
