Description

The incumbent will be responsible to:

  • Design, review, conduct, and evaluate training activities under TCF’s Non-Formal Education Programme for out-of-school children in Pakistan and Adult Literacy Programme. Adapting it to TCF community and non-TCF community context.
  • Analyze training needs and refine training model accordingly.
  • Aligning NFE and Adult Literacy curriculums and transitions to formal schools.
  • NFE Network planning, community identification and screening.

Programme Design

  • Review and align provincial NFE curriculums.
  • Review scheme of studies for all NFE packages and adult literacy programmes best suited for effective learning outcomes.
  • Plan effective strategies for smooth transition of NFE learners to mainstream formal schools or their smooth continuation in NFE stream.
  • Identify and design supportive learning materials smooth execution of NFE and adult literacy programmes.

Training

  • Review and design in person capacity building programmes and digital training modules for Non-Formal Education and Adult Literacy Programme.
  • Align the trainings with TCF’s policies and procedures.
  • Develop training plan and budget.
  • Conduct (on-site as well as virtual) ToTs and field trainings.
  • Gather both qualitative and quantitative data from field visits on different aspects of training through classroom observations, interviews, focus groups, and reviews of written documentation.
  • Use a variety of available data to identify training programme needs and areas of improvement.

Community Identification

  • Manage the screening of teachers and students for suitable NFE packages across TCF and Non-TCF communities.
  • Ensure that the community identification is aligned with set targets.

Communication and Coordination

  • Prepare presentations, summaries, briefing materials, and background documentation to inform leadership discussions.
  • Consolidate inputs from stakeholders, conduct basic analysis, and help highlight key updates and insights when required.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to align timelines, gather inputs, and ensure smooth information flow across shared initiatives.
  • Coordinate forums, meetings, and engagements, including agenda preparation, compilation of pre-reads, documentation of discussions, and tracking of action items.
  • Maintain shared documentation and tracking tools that strengthen alignment and accountability across teams.

Required Skills

  • Strong command over written and spoken Urdu, Sindhi and English
  • Proofreading and editing of text in Urdu, Sindhi and English
  • Ability to work effectively in collaborative environments
  • Background in training, teaching, and/or content design
  • Passion to work with under-served communities
  • Sound understanding of research methods, data management and with data analysis
  • Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Familiarity with design thinking
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills

Education

Masters in the Social Sciences, Humanities, or Liberal Arts.

Experience

5-6 years of work experience in the development/education sector particularly in non-formal education sector at Managerial Level. (Experience in training design and execution is preferred).
