Description

As Manager - Global Partnerships, you will help manage The Citizen’s Foundation’s partnerships with foundations, institutions, individuals and corporations in collaboration with our education, finance, development, operations and research teams. You will manage grants and related reporting for new and recurring partners and undertake the completion of concept notes and full proposals. You will manage the partnerships end to end in terms of the engagement, funds management and reporting. You will have to be highly organized, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be solution oriented, and thrive when working at the nexus of several fast-moving teams. Plus, you will need to have the excitement and energy for the work we do and for collaborating with others.

Core functions will include:

Writing:

  • Owning the end-to-end drafting of funding proposals, pitches, concept notes, grantee reports, and more, for a variety of audiences.
  • Partnering with funders and operations teams to design core program parameters for proposals and communicate them effectively.

Project & Knowledge Management:

  • Owning the proposal development process from identification to submission, including managing colleagues across teams in contributing high-quality material as needed.
  • Developing high-quality, brand-accurate core content for the organization, including one-pagers, proposal FAQs, standard pitch decks, templates, etc.
  • Following the complete internal process for partnership management since the time of the pitch to the grant closure – including undertaking internal approvals, developing required documentation and taking all internal stakeholders onboard w.r.t the grant.

Relationship Management and Communications:

  • Undertaking gold standard relationship management and grants administration [including monitoring grant deliverables (Monitoring & Evaluation) throughout the life cycle of the grant through regular updates with the relevant internal stakeholders, customizing proposals, tracking funds and developing reports]

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially of complex work.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets.
  • Some experience with proposal or report writing, including developing budgets and reviewing financial reports
  • A strong interest in and proven aptitude for being solution-oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure under tight deadlines. Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently but can also be a team player.
  • Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines and take ownership of the work
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to understand the programs in detail.
  • Willing to learn and adapt to the team’s needs.
  • A proclivity for giving and gracefully receiving direct, honest, and constructive feedback.

Education

Bachelor’s/ Master’s in Humanities/ Social Sciences or a related discipline
