Description
The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is seeking a dedicated Program Design Associate to conduct program research and create assessments for our guided training courses as part of our digital Teacher Development Program. This role is crucial in informing achievement of teacher learning outcomes, track progress, and enhance the overall training experience.
The ideal candidate will work closely with content development specialists and trainers to ensure assessments are thoughtfully aligned with learning objectives and pathways, fostering continuous professional growth and development for teachers.
Assessment Design
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align assessments for teachers’ self-led and guided learning courses.
- Research on assessment design for self-paced, online learning
- Develop assessments targeting desired competencies.
- Integrate assessments into structured learning paths with checkpoints to track teacher progress.
- Create diverse assessments, including quizzes, reflective exercises, scenario-based activities, and classroom simulations tailored to teacher needs.
- Develop assessments that build knowledge and skills progressively, from foundational to advanced skill level.
- Develop tasks that require teachers to apply theories in practical classroom settings.
- Design evaluation rubrics and ensure alignment with teacher learning outcomes and assessments
Program Research and Evaluation
- Support in conducting research on program design for teacher professional development, teacher career paths and performance evaluation and rewards
- Conduct research on assessment rubrics
- Technology and Platform Integration
- Upload and configure assessments on the content management system
- Test and troubleshoot assessment functionalities to ensure seamless usability.
Collaboration
- Coordinate with instructional designers to ensure alignment between assessments and the overall learning journey.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design assessments addressing real classroom challenges.
- Incorporate feedback from principals, teachers, trainers, and team members to improve assessment quality.
Evaluation and Support
- Analyze assessment data to track teacher progress, identify learning gaps, and guide program enhancements.
Continuous Improvement
- Regularly revise assessments to align with evolving educational standards and practices.
- Leverage AI tools and analytics to enhance assessment personalization and effectiveness.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in teacher training and assessment design.
Program Design and Implementation
- Support with program design and implementation activities on a need basis
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English and Urdu with strong writing and editing abilities.
- Skilled in designing culturally responsive assessments for diverse learners
- Knowledge of different types of assessments and how to evaluate across lower order and higher order skills
- Interest in research and leveraging it to inform design processes
- Prior experience in using Content Management System and e-learning tools is preferred.
- Interest in using emerging educational technologies and AI for assessments
- Strong critical thinking to adapt strategies to changing needs.
- Proficient in analyzing assessment data to enhance outcomes.
- Highly organized with effective task and deadline management
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-level of accuracy in assessment design
- Advanced MS Office skills for documentation and reporting.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum design, instructional design, educational technology, social sciences, or a related field.
Experience
1-2 years of teaching experience or of program research and designing educational assessments, preferably in teacher professional development settings.
