Description
The Research Associate will be responsible for providing research and implementation support for in-house and external evaluations at The Citizens Foundation (TCF). The role requires someone with a background in research, particularly in the field of education. The Research Associate will be largely working on the evaluations of TCF's Mother-tongue Based multi-lingual education (MTB-MLE) and Teachers' Pedagogy Assessment (TPA) programmes. Candidates with a strong interest in issues of equity, social justice, and inclusive education are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Assist in designing, conducting, and reporting on evaluation studies related to MTB-MLE and Teachers' Pedagogy Assessments.
- Collect and analyze data using both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Support in the development of research instruments, such as questionnaires and interview guides
- Conduct literature reviews and prepare research summaries
- Assist in writing research reports
- Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of research projects
- Facilitate in the training of evaluators and enumerators and design training content, illustrative examples, sample templates and reports, process documents, quality assurance protocols etc.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards in research activities

- Substantive training in education
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to use critical and reflective thinking in the design, pilot and deployment of various research and evaluative instruments

- Strong interest in issues of equity, social justice, and inclusive education
Education
A bachelor's degree in public policy, social sciences or a combination of social sciences and analytics should provide a strong foundation for this role; however, candidates with degrees in similar disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
Experience
2-3 years of research experience (in professional/academic settings)
