Literacy and Life Skills department at TCF is leading the non-formal education program for out-of-school-children in Pakistan in the 8-16 years age bracket. The department is looking to hire Assistant Manager for Life Skills and Training to primarily create content for its teacher guides, student workbooks and training manual. Additionally, subject-specific content for community engagement, teacher training and developing assessments will also fall within the purview of the Assistant Manager.

  • Develop academic plans for modules of life skills
  • Create lesson plans and student workbooks for life skills along with training manuals for teacher training
  • Gather both qualitative and quantitative data from field visits on implementation of life skills teaching and learning materials through classroom observations, interviews, focus groups, assessments and review of written documentation
  • Repurpose previously created formats and curriculum content in response to the information from the field and to meet the changing design and contextual needs of the program
  • Design subject specific training modules along with student and teacher assessment for life skills
  • Design teacher training content using latest EdTech tools
  • Develop work plans for content development for life skills and teacher training
  • Contribute to research and monitoring activities and reporting documents
  • Prepare clear, user-friendly reports, presentations, and data visualizations for the LLS team
  • Provide support in relevant cross-functional projects

Required Skills

The applicant ideally have experience in:

  • Designing teacher guide/ lesson plans and students workbooks for life skills
  • Creating and administering student assessments
  • Research to create audience-specific content and teacher training materials
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation plan and prepare training report after every training cycle
  • Monitor the quality of the program and design intervention strategies accordingly
  • Awareness of latest educational tools
  • Teaching children from primary or middle to secondary grades
  • Handling cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse constituencies at the grassroots level
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
  • Fluency in speaking, reading and writing in English, Urdu and Sindhi (preferred for Sindhi)


Bachelors / Masters (Preferably in Social Sciences, Education)


1-3 years of experience in research and design of education programs
