Description
The Manager Information Systems (MIS) will support the Engineering function through MIS, dashboards, and performance tracking. The role requires a blend of engineering knowledge and business analytics to drive data-based decision-making, monitor projects, and improve operational efficiency.
- Ability to collect information and data from all sections of Engineering and communicate to management and zone on regular basis.
- Information to be collected from PMO, Cost section, QA/QC dept, Field execution team, contractors’ tenders & award & Maintenance team for reporting to Management.
- Assist management in tracking budget utilization and project expenditures
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
- Develop, manage, and maintain management information system databases, reporting systems, and performance tracking mechanisms.
- Prepare and maintain a centralized master database of all engineering and operational activities.
- Support annual budgeting, MQI and SOPs etc. processes
- Quality of insights and recommendations provided to management.
- Reduction in manual reporting efforts through automation.
- Prepare presentations and management reports for senior leadership.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Ensure timely dissemination of reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Track project performance against timelines, budgets, quality standards, and progress indicators.
- Monitor project KPIs and identify variances, risks, and performance gaps.
- Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret data from cross functional departments
- Recommend data-driven improvements to enhance operational performance
- Apply AI-based analytics to forecast project delays, material needs, or budget overruns using historical trends.
- Carry out other assignments assigned by Line Manager
Required Skills
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard development.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and VBA/macros (preferred).
- Experience in transforming complex operational, engineering, and financial data into actionable insights.
- Understanding of ERP systems, databases, and data integration processes.
- Ability to automate reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency through digital solutions.
- Experience in data visualization and presenting insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Education
BE Civil Engineering (preferred) (from HEC/PEC recognized university)
MBA from Higher Education Commission recognized / top-tier institute
Experience
4-7 years of Engineering or project-based experience preferred
