About RKS:
TCFs Research and Knowledge Sharing team works to enable TCF in organizational introspection and learning by supporting evidence-based decision making towards individual, school, program and system improvement through robust research studies, assessments and evaluations.
The selected professional will work with the TCF Research team and play a key role in developing compelling visual and written content that communicates our research initiatives/output. This includes translating complex findings into accessible formats like blog posts, infographics and policy papers and help amplifying our organization's impact and reach through public relations efforts.
- Collaborate with research teams to understand, synthesize, and tailor key findings from research projects into accessible, clear & engaging communication material for diverse stakeholders and audiences.
- Draft, edit, and review print and digital content for various platforms including websites, reports, blogs, newsletters, articles, briefs, press and social media.
- Commission and manage the production of video, graphic, and other digital outputs where required.
- Develop compelling narratives and storytelling approaches to effectively communicate the significance and impact of our research.
- Provide support in developing and implementing public relations material, and coordinate to organize events to promote TCF research initiatives and increase visibility across multiple platforms.
- Creating and circulating a regular stream of knowledge on industry trends, key areas of discourse in policy and practice, and research of significance for internal consumption.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including media outlets, policymakers, and advocacy organizations, to amplify our research dissemination efforts.
- Undertake field visits where necessary to effectively document research activities, outputs and successes, and to enhance and enrich content
Required Skills
- Proven experience of a minimum of 2 years in content development/writing, design and dissemination of print and/or digital communication material.
- Experience working in a research-focused organization, international development/non-profit or academic institutions media/or public relations is desirable.
- Producing and managing a wide variety of content that engages audiences using print and digital tools/platforms (preferably in the context of research dissemination or international development).
- Fluency in English and Urdu, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a keen attention to detail. Editing, proofreading and formatting skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, accessible and concise manner are especially important.
- Proficiency in MS Office. Basic knowledge of Canva and Adobe Suite (particularly InDesign and Illustrator) or similar design software is desirable. Basic knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques is also a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with multiple teams.
- Creativity and a good eye for design principles.
- Knowledge of industry standards, trends, and technical knowledge.
- Passion for social impact and commitment to advancing evidence-based solutions.
Education
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field (e.g. in Social Sciences, or with relevant coursework in International Development, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Education or Journalism etc.)
Experience
Proven experience of a minimum of 2 years in content development/writing, design and dissemination of print and/or digital communication material.
Experience working in a research-focused organization, international development/non-profit or academic institutions media/or public relations is desirable.
