Description
Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of the secondary Digital Literacy curriculum to equip students with the digital knowledge, computational thinking, programming, and problem-solving skills required for success in further education, the workplace, and an increasingly technology-driven world. Ensure the curriculum aligns with Federal Board requirements, national standards, and emerging global best practices.
• Strong knowledge of digital literacy, Ed -tech tools and learning Apps, Computer science pedagogy.
• Expertise in curriculum design, instructional design, and assessment development.
• Understanding of programming pedagogy, digital citizenship, and technology integration.
• Knowledge of Federal Board, National curriculum of Pakistan and secondary Digital Literacy/Computer Science requirements.
• Ability to design engaging, practical, and technology-enabled learning experiences.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use evidence for curriculum improvement.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of the secondary Digital Literacy curriculum, including standards, learning progressions, scope and sequence, and subject expectations aligned with Federal board and organizational goals.
• Review national and international digital literacy, computer science, and educational technology frameworks to benchmark and strengthen curriculum quality and relevance.
• Develop and review high-quality instructional resources, including student materials, teacher guides, stem-based activities and projects, assessments, and technology-enabled learning supports that promote computational thinking, digital fluency, creativity, and higher-order problem-solving.
• Ensure coherent progression of digital literacy competencies across grades, enabling students to build foundational ICT skills, computational thinking, programming, digital citizenship, and digital innovation.
• Design curriculum interventions that strengthen students' readiness for technical communication and application of technology across STEM and relevant subject areas.
• Integrate project-based, inquiry-driven, and technology-enhanced learning approaches that foster creativity, collaboration, ethical technology use, and independent learning.
• Support curriculum implementation through teacher orientation, resource creation and ongoing academic guidance.
Education
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Educational Technology, Computer Science Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience
• 4-5 years of experience in digital literacy/computer science curriculum design, teaching, academic leadership, or educational program development.
• Demonstrated experience in developing curriculum frameworks, instructional resources, assessments, and technology-enabled learning solutions.
• Experience in teacher professional development and curriculum implementation will be an added advantage.
